HOLA!! the other night for dinner I made Flautas. Here in Calfornia they call them rolled taquitos but they are the same thing. You can make them with pretty much whatever meat you want but I like to use chicken. They are pretty easy to make too.

All I was did was boil some chicken breast and season it as well. I usually let it boil with pieces of onion too. When it was ready I shredded it in a bowl and put to the side. I then heated up a skillet with oil. When it was hot enough I got some tortillas and I put them in two at a time if you have the room. I let them cook for like a 1 min each side and then i set them on a dish with a napkin on the bottom to help absorb the oil. I usually make about 12 but it depends on how many people you`re feeding.

When the 12 tortillas are done, I then start filling them one by one with the shredded chicken and to keep them rolled i stick a toothpick in the middle. Depending on how much you stuff them you may need 2-3 toothpicks to keep them from unrolling. When they`re rolled you just put them back in the skillet with hot oil and let them cook until crispy on all sides. The toothpick will easily come out. For the sides i cooked some rice and beans and put small salad on top of the flautas. Which is lettuce, onion, tomato, sour cream and avocado. I also added two jalapeƱos for an extra kick! They were delish!!
