Flatten Belly amp Tone Thighs - Wall Sit

Good afternoon LUUUXers, tomorrow is Monday already and let`s make sure our fitness goals are standing strong!

This week, try this toning move when you're watching TV to help flatten your stomach and tone your thighs.

The Wall Sit is a very standard move that all of us have done during Elementary School gym class, however, many of us forget about it as we grow older.

Though standard, the wall sit targets two key areas, the abdominals and the thighs. For those girls who hold more weight in the area, or those who are apple and pear shaped, this move is great for toning those trouble areas.

1. First, start by standing straight against the wall, being parallel with the wall. Look straight ahead.
2. Walk your feet in front of you until you feel you can make a 90 degree angle with your legs when you "sit down".
3. Slowly lower your upper body while bending your lower body. Lower until your legs make a 90 degree angle with the floor. Your thighs should be parallel to the floor and your upper body should remain flat against the wall.
4. Hold for 30 seconds.
5. Release and go back to the starting position.
6. Repeat 10 repetitions.

It looks easy, just like sitting in a chair, however, due to the weight distribution shifting, some may find it very difficult to keep balanced with the Wall Sit move. That`s perfectly normal as most of us are used to sitting in a "chair" rather than sitting on air.

This move is great for training your balance as well as toning your mid and lower body. Like the plank, work your way up to holding to 1 minute and 2 minutes. This way, you really target your muscles, making them stronger.
