Near my work, my coworkers and I eat at a place called Flamebroiler every so often. They serve beef, chicken, and vegetables with your choice of white or brown rice. They really pride themselves on the healthiness of their food. They stress the fact that they do not put msg or transfat in their foods. Unlike other restaurants in the area, they do not fry their foods. They marinate and grill their meat.
I did not feel too hungry, so I got the mini-bowl. Even though "mini" implies being only snack-worthy, its actually really filling. I decided to get half chicken and half beef bowl because I could not decide between them. I asked for green onions on top. And the chicken and beef were layered over a bed of white rice.
All in all, this dish is actually pretty good and filling. The beef&chicken were very soft and savory. On top of my bowl, I poured teriyaki sauce as well as their "magic sauce," which is the hot sauce they have. For a more healthy option, I usually get my bowl with half chicken half vegetables, but I was craving more meat than I was veggies.
If you haven`t tried flame broiler, I really suggest that you do. Its simplistic, but still good at the same time.
Do you eat meat and rice bowls like this?
