I usually dont like to take supplements, because on top of my multivitamins and birth control pills, I dont want to have to take other pills throughout the day. However because of its benefits, I always make sure to take fish oil supplements every other day.
Fish oil can be ingested two ways: by eating fish or by taking fish oil supplements. Because I dont have fish as a meal on a daily basis, adding these supplements every few days will help.
Along with aiding to prevent heart problems by lowering blood pressure (lowering high triglyceride levels in the blood prevents conditions such as strokes), fish oil is great for mental our mental health. However, keep in mind that too much fish oil can also be counter productive. Like everything else we put in our bodies, everything in moderation.
The benefits of fish oil are from the omega-3 fatty acids, as most of you may already know already.
