First Time Trying Tastea!

Summer school has occupied 99.9% of my time leaving me with absolutely no free time. However, I took a break and headed over to Rowland with some of my friends to go get some dim sum. We were going to head over to half & half to get some boba, but my friend said we should go to Tastea instead. Everybody raves about how good their drinks are so I decided to try them out for myself.

If you`re familiar with the Rowland area, Tastea is in Yes Plaza, right next to BCD Tofu House. There are other locations, but this is the closest to me even though it still is a good 20 minute drive on the freeway. We went at some random time so parking wasn`t a problem. It was a cute little shop and the workers were EXTREMELY friendly. They have a pretty big menu but I went with one of their Specialteas and got the Lychee Peachee (third picture). It`s peach iced tea with lychee bits. I was surprised to see that they used actual pieces of lychee rather than just lychee flavoring.

My drink was sooooo good. I`ve always had a thing for lychee so this was perfect. The tea had a nice peach flavor to it, but it wasn`t too overbearing. It wasn`t too sweet either which I liked. The lychee bits were chilled so they were cool which worked nicely with the extremely hot weather of So. Cal. I got the regular size and it was $4-5? I don`t remember the price, but it was pretty pricey, but most drinks from boba shops are.

I`m definitely going to be back! The teas are so refreshing and a bit healthier than drinks from half & half. They just need to make a location closer to home :]. So have any of you tried Tastea before? How are you beating the heat?
