My coworker`s niece was sick one day and was sent home from school. Since the kid`s dad couldn`t pick her up until the afternoon, she waited and hung out in the office with us. Even though she`s only about four or five years old, the little cutie is already into beauty products. She mistakenly used my Chapstick, thinking it was lipstick, lol. I was concerned about her cough, so I thought it`d be best to toss it. It was nearly empty anyway.
As a replacement, I purchased the Rosebud Perfume Co. -Smith`s Rosebud Salve from Sephora.
Very moisturizing & smooth to the touch
soothes minor burns,
dry elbows & knees,
even diaper rash!
Application with fingers is not the most convenient
Not very long-lasting
I`m not a fan of the smell. It`s not horrible, but to me it`s a slight hint of floral mixed with old lady perfume, lol.
I`ve only used this a couple of times and so far I`ve been enjoying it. I`ve only used it for my dry lips. My lips tend to be on the dry side all year round since my lips have a lot of lines. I haven`t used this product for any other purpose, but I imagine it`d work pretty well for my cuticles too. I doubt I`d use it anywhere else.
Also, it`s very delicate. Even though the product looks very sold in the pan, it is actually very soft once you touch it. As soon as I dipped my finger onto the salve, it felt like it was melting.
At $6, it`s a bit pricey for a Chapstick replacement, but at 0.8 oz, this will last me a looong time. However, I imagine it`ll be pretty annoying to use with my fingers once I reach the bottom. I hate when products get under my fingernails.
Thanks for dropping by!
