First LuLus Haul and Impressions

I have always wanted to shop at LuLus for the longest time but the thing that turned me away was the high shipping fee to Canada, and also the possible unknown duties/taxes I would have to pay. Shipping before was about $25! And now it is more reasonably priced at $12.

What caught my eye about LuLus were their dresses. I`m probably being biased since I love buying dresses but never seem to have the opportunity to wear them during the almost year round winter. P.S. we have snow here already! -_-

The first thing I picked up was the Exclusive Glass Half Foliage in the colour Navy Blue Floral. When I first saw this dress, I knew I had to have it! The print is absolutely adorable and this is a dress that you can dress up or down. I like how this dress is not a bodycon and has a bit of a flare at the bottom. The back of the dress is not too low which is great for not having to worry about whether your bra is peeping out or not. This dress was originally $49 but I got it on sale for $24!

The second dress I picked up was the Exclusive Just A Twirl in the colour Navy Blue Striped. This is one of the classic dressed made by LuLus. It comes in a variety of colours and prints but for some reason this one in particular caught my eye (maybe it`s because it reminds me of nautical things). I particularly like the sleeves since you could wear this during cooler days without having to bring a cardigan around. Another thing I really like is the semi-big flare of the dress. I think this would be great at giving an illusion of an hour glass body shape. The price of this dress is $49.

First Impressions:

-LuLus has really cute clothing and the sell other brands besides their own. There are a bunch of items you can choose from such as dresses, shoes, accessories, tops, bottoms and much more.

-Shipping: The shipping was much more reasonably priced than before which is a great incentive for Canadian shoppers. The option I chose for shipping was just the regular/cheapest one ($12). I found shipping to be pretty fast; my order came within eight business days.

-Packaging: I`m a sucker for good packaging! I really like how they package their clothes in really cute tissue paper. The dresses were wrapped nicely so there weren`t many wrinkles when I got them.

-Pricing: LuLus dresses are a bit more than what you get at Forever21. Why? LuLus dresses are made in the USA instead of mass produced products from third-world countries like China, India, Indonesia, etc. I paid less than the actual price because they had a 10% off promotion when I ordered.

-Quality of clothing: For the floral dress, the material was alright; the material didn`t feel as cheap as Forever21 dresses. As for the striped dress, the material used was pretty thick. I was surprised to find it a bit heavy. Overall, the dresses were well made and care was put into making them!

-Site organization: The site is neatly laid out, however, it does take some time to go through each section since there is quite a bit of product. I do wish there were more filters to make searching easier.

-Sizing: This is probably the hardest part when ordering since there are a bit of mix reviews when it comes to their sizes. Many people say that their clothes run a tad smaller, however, if you were to order the next size up, it may be too big. Many suggest using the reference sizing chart as a guide line and adjusting your usual size to that. I personally ordered my usual size since I fear going up a size would be too big.

Would I order from them again? Definitely! I really enjoyed my experience buying from them and such cutes clothes is too hard to pass. The dresses were well made!

Have you purchased LuLus clothing before?
