Earlier this month I watched various tutorials through YouTube to learn how to crochet. When I was feeling more confident, I went to buy the needle and yarn to make a scarf. I bought a 6mm crochet needle and yarn from Red Heart Super Saver in Buff. I think the method I used is called `single stitch` which is supposed to be the easiest form. I turned out to be really easy once I got the hang of it and I finished this scarf in 5 days. I`ve attempted to knit a scarf before but it was difficult because the width would change and whenever I made a mistake, it took a while to notice it so I`d have to unravel some of it so I can fix it. Then I would have to insert the needle back into each of the loops to continue. However with crochet mistakes are much easier to fix because the needle is only attached to one loop and the width doesn`t change throughout the process. Although it`s still summer I decided to make the scarves now since I`ll have less free time once school starts again.
