I like to experiment with recipes alot and whenever I see a new recipe, I just have to make it the same day!! I found a recipe on Pinterest for spring rolls and though that it would be so much fun to make them! They sounded pretty easy so I would assume they would be easy.
To my surprise, I wasn`t able to find rice paper or rice sticks in Safeway or QFC and finally found it @ Fred Meyer. It was a pretty good deal so I bought 2 packs of 12 rice paper to roll the spring rolls into. I also got shrimp to include into spring rolls, even though the recipe didn`t say to do so but I like meat haha
It took about an hour to make 24 spring rolls and they were yummyyyy! They came out a little deformed but I think that with little more practice, I can start making them for parties or just for a family reunion. My boyfriend tried to roll them and he ended up making the "Monster Roll", as he calls it lol He ended up eating it himself too.
These spring rolls are very healthy and only about 75-100 calories but I ate only 2 and was very full! If you guys going to make it, I suggest to try and make the peanut sauce that goes with it or just have it with soy sauce like I did.
