All the hype about the Urban Decay Naked palettes were making me feel like I must get one myself. Being a big makeup hoarder, I felt like without owning one of the Naked palettes, my makeup collection would be incomplete. Well, it`s not like it`s ever going to become complete but that was just my excuse to splurge $60+ on a neutral palette when I already have like 300 shades of neutral eyeshadows. I`ve been trying to resist the temptation but finally caved in a few days ago.
I must say, I do like the palette a lot. I thought the colors are going to be very shimmery as I saw from other people`s swatches. On the eyes, they are not shimmery at all and very wearable. The pigmentation is great, and I love the ease of blending. The best thing is, I can seem to pair any colors from the palette and great a nice neutral eye, or add the black color in the crease to instantly create a smokey eye. If I were to live with only 1 eyeshadow palette, I think this one would be it. The thing I like the most about this palette is actually the brush. One side is a flat brush that you can use to pack eyeshadow on your lids to achieve better pigmentation. The other side is a crease brush. The bristles are so soft yet sturdy for both of these brush tips. The crease brush is the perfect shape and size for blending. Sometimes I just use it to apply eyeshadow in the crease and blend at the same time, and it still gives a nice effect that`s not too messy.
