Fethiye is a lovely fishing village situated on the Turquish mediterranean coast.
It has lovely roman ruins, as you can see at the first pic. A little bit of history: the Telmessos built there a harbour around the 3rd century BC. Telebehi was the name of the city in the Lycian language.
On April 1957,m a earthquake destroyed around the 90% of the village so today you can visit the ruins that they already stand up. At the link you can read all the story about that place.
This little village is also a good place to savour its wonderful gastronomy. There are a lot of lovely fruits and veg ´s markets. All of the food is fresh and from the area.
And what to say about the fantastic beaches? Lost creeks with so clear water that, if you´re lucky, you can see the fishes!!!
I´m thinking about going there on a weekend...
