So last week I was craving dim sum which is like the Chinese breakfast, brunch. I wanted to try a different place so I searched one up and Lai Wah Heen got good reviews so I gave it a shot. I was picturing the place to look like a regular Chinese restaurant but man was I wrong. The place looked fancy - the chopsticks holder were shaped like dragons, the end of the spoons looked like a dragon and the teapots and plates had a nice design on them that were matching. The waiters were very polite and nice. Anyways, the food - it was delicious. I tried some emu ball, lobster and butter dumpling that was shaped like a lobster, beef ball mixed with enoki mushrooms, Australian beef dumpling, pork dumpling with scallops, fried shrimp dumpling and 2 others which I can`t remember what it was made out of but it was gooood. I gotta say it was more on the pricey side for dimsum. The bill was about $120 for 10 dishes for 2 people. I can get the same amount for about a quarter of that price elsewhere.
