Prior to application, measure full-length false eyelashes against your natural lashes. The width of the lash band should not extend beyond your lash line. Trim overly wide lashes at the inner corner for a better fit. Apply eyeliner, eye shadow and curl your natural lashes with an eyelash curler before applying either full-length or individual false lashes. Preparing your eye makeup in advance helps hide the lash band and prevents shifting of newly applied eyelashes.
Full-Length Application Tips
Use glue made specifically for false eyelashes. Most false-eyelash kits come with adhesive. Apply a small amount of glue along the entire lash band of full-length false eyelashes. For better precision, use a toothpick to apply the adhesive. Wait approximately 20 seconds for the glue to set. When the eyelash adhesive is slightly tacky, your eyelashes are ready to wear. Grasp the top of the lashes with a pair of tweezers and tilt your chin upward while gazing down at your eyelids in the mirror. Beginning with the outer edge, apply the lashes directly to the top of your natural lash line. Allow the glue to dry completely, then apply mascara and touch up any other eye makeup.
Never remove false eyelashes without softening the glue first. Tugging on dried glue can damage sensitive eyelids and pull out natural lashes. Dip a cotton ball in eye-makeup remover and swipe it across your lashes to soften the glue. Remove any residual glue and makeup from your false lashes before storing them.
