Really it`s a good idea, it`s got a good basis, when I first read about it I was so hopeful. Particularly since the picture posted with it was so beautiful! (The picture I first saw is the first picture of the series). And the idea was simple enough, open a glow stick and dump the contents into a jar, add glitter, and shake jar! It would have been perfect if glitter actually floats in the middle of the jar in that manner. But i think a different gas would need to be put into the jar for that to happen, and the glow sticks did not have the effect that I expected. Instead it just seemed to stick to the sides of the jar, and got mildly gloopy after awhile. It was still kinda cool though, turning off the lights made the jar glow in the dark, and we have a fish tank so the itinics (blue light) had a cool effect on the jar. Mine are actually just a combination of a bunch of glow sticks of all different colors. Though, as I am sure you can see, green, and yellow sort of had an overwhelming effect.
I ended up looking it up on different websites, and on youtube. hoping that I had done something wrong, and that there was an actual way to create the first picture. But it seems everyone elses fairies in a bottle is about the same as mine.
Have any of you tried it? Were you successful? Would you want to try it yourself?
I got my directions from the website who`s link I have have posted as a source link!
