Fail Product: Totally Twisted Curl Boosting Mousse

See a problem with having curly hair is finding a good product to not only control the frizz, but to also help enhance the shape of the curls. I have gone through many and various products for curly hair, from low end to high end products. Besides spending a chunk of my money on polishes, I also spend another chunk on hair products. And probably one of the worst hair products I have tried for my curly hair is Clairol Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Boosting Mousse with the strength level at 2; Extra.

On the back of the product, the description is Ill help keep humidity out of your hair and give curls and waves a lush boost. The twist? I make your hair shiny and springy with my weightless formula fused with extracts of French lavender and jade plant. When I first read this description, I thought this product would be great for my hair. I needed a product that was weightless and that helped boost the look of my curls. I though why not and give this a try. Man was I ever wrong; I wish I never picked this products up. What a waste of money!

-Smells fantastic, described as Tropical Mystique Fragrance. Herbal Essences has the best smelling products by far for a drugstore brand.

-Cheap around $5

-Design of the bottle is nice; skinny so its easy to grab.

-Doesnt do what it says it does.

-Made my hair look wet and crunchy; like I just got out of the shower. Ewww and it also made it very hard.

-After using this product for about 1.5 months, the bottle didnt produce any mousse. And I still have half a bottle left. It just sprayed out a liquidly substance. Isnt it supposed to produce a mousse?

-Hard to wash out since its so sticky and hard.

This product is a huge fail. Yes, it may have been cheap, but I wish I never spent any money on this sucky product. Its sad that such a fantastic smelling product could fail so badly. I guess you can say: I got what I paid for. Randomness, my nails match the bottle! :)

Have you tried this before? Whats your favourite curly hair product?
