Face of the day in products

After 12 years of school, today was my last official day. I never thought I would miss school this much or get emotional. Over the past five years (Secondary/High school) I have grown up so much as a person, unfortunately I cant say the same about my height.

Usually my makeup for a normal school day consists of some concealer and a small amount of eye makeup. As it was the last day, it was obvious there would be loads of group, class and friendship photos taken throughout the day. So I decided to put a little more effort into my appearance (after all, these pictures are being uploaded on to Facebook this very second).

I did try and go for a natural look as it was school and these are the products I used:

For the face, I applied a very light layer of Macs Face and Body foundation- I dont wear this daily but it is by far my personal favourite. Its great for people similar to me, who like light, sheer coverage just to even out the skin tone, plus it gives a semi matte finish and looks great in photographs. I used Bobbi Browns Creamy Corrector which works well to hide my incredibly dark and hideous under eye circles, although it does crease during the day. I applied a natural, matte blush colour. This was an Avon True Colour Blush in Russet.

For the eyes, I used an eye primer for my incredibly oily eyelids. I used Soap and Glorys Its About Prime as a base for the rest of the eye makeup. Next I applied a few eye shadow colours from the Sleek Au Naturel palette, I used the colour Honeycomb and Cappuccino on the entire eyelid then very lightly applied Regal to the crease of my eyes. I used the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Black to draw a very thin liner on my upper lash line to create the appearance of thicker lashes, lastly to finish it all off Benefits Theyre Real mascara.

For the lips, I kept it very simple and used this gorgeous lip-gloss from elf cosmetics in dragon fruit. It add a glossy, yet sheer amount of colour to the lips.

The tools I used to apply all of the makeup: Real Techniques buffing brush for foundation, Real Techniques deluxe crease brush for concealer/corrector, Real Techniques stippling brush for blush, EcoTools eye shade brush for applying eyelid colour, EcoTools angled brush for eyeliner, No7 Eye shadow blend and contour brush for blending the crease colour. Ecotools lash and brow groomer for separating my eyelashes are grooming my brow and lastly No7 eyelash curlers.

Hope you enjoyed this post, and even found it helpful in some way x
