I just wanted to do a review on the Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Powder Foundation. Honestly, I haven`t used "drugstore brand" face makeup in YEARS because in high school i used Bare Escentuals and last year I switched to TooFaced. I used to break out a lot, and bought into the prestige makeup ideals. As much as I loved my TooFaced powder foundation, it was too expensive for me to rebuy at the moment, and honestly their darkest powder was looking a little light on me since I got tan this summer.
When i went to Ulta to shop around for some powders I asked the attendent for some help matching a color since i knew what colors i was in other brands- i just wanted an opinion on which color may work, i DID NOT want her to try it n me and I made that clear, but her response to my query was "well, why would you want to switch from a prestige make up brand to a lower quality...?" Normally, I don`t assume they are being rude, i mean she could have sounded "concerned" or whatever, but this girl`s tone was super b*****. gah, that made me so mad!
Anyways, I used a 3.50 off $10 purchase at ulta to get this, which ended up being about $10. i know this is a pricier powder considering other ones are like $7-10 before coupons. The color matched perfectly, and I`ve been using it for like two weeks.
i LOVE it. it`s a great powder foundation to swipe on for work and it`s coverage with a little concealor is great. i think this is a GREAT alternative to expensive powder foundations, and the key is to apply it with a synthetic kabuki brush (that you keep clean by spraying it with rubbing alcohol) that I am sooo fond of. if you`re loooking for a cheap alternative to your prestige powder, TRY THISS.
con: i don`t think it comes in many colors. :(
face pic: here i used my urban decay face primer (sine when i used the Porefessional by benefit it flaked all over my face no matter how many different ways i tried using it) , concealor, my toofaced cream foundation, and the neutrogena face powder on top. I had the lorac baked bronzer on, and urban decay eyeliner in "corrupt". i used toofaced`s queen sized lashes mascara.
tell me: ever had a rude attendent, or experience?
what kind of make up do you prefer; "prestige", or "drugstore"?
if you had a huge shopping spree just for make up, what would you buy? let me know!!
