ELF Online Haul
I`ve finally caught up with all my posts from my trips to New York and Armenia this summer.... phew!
For example, I posted recently about my visit to the ELF flagship store when I was visiting NYC, and the goodies I managed to get there.
You can see that post here: http://www.luuux.com/viz/elf-flagship-store-haul
Unfortunately, a lot of the items I was hoping to try were not in stock or not carried in the store, so the girl suggest I place an online order. She also clued me in that they were having their annual 50% off sale soon.
Sure enough, the sale was right around the corner and I was able to get some of the items I was curious to try.
The first things I put in my cart were 2 smudge pots - Poppin Party (purple) and Ocean Bound (blue). I have seen lots of reviews for these on Luuux, and I was really drawn to these shades. I`m looking forward to playing with them. These are normally 3 bucks, so I got them for $1.50
I also discovered the new pressed mineral foundations when I was in the store. I bought one in a darker shade to use as a contour, but I loved the finish and texture so much, I ordered one in my normal shade. These are at a new price point for ELF at 8 dollars. But with the sale I got it for only $4!
Since I was so impressed with the foundation, I decided to also try the pressed mineral blush. I picked the shade sweet retreat. These blushes are 5 dollars so I got it for $2.50.
I haven`t had much experience with ELF nail polishes. I have their matte top coat but not too many actually nail polish colours. I found a 3 piece nail polish set for 3 dollars, and decided to pick it up since it was half price. I also pick out a glitter polish in Fairy Dust which is almost like a multicolor flakie.
As I was roaming the site, I checked out the brushes. I have lots of ELF brushes from the studio line which I love. The essentials line is usually hit or miss. But the one thing missing from both lines is a fluffy blending brush! I noticed that they now had a blending eye brush, but it comes with the `gem` handle and in a few different colours. These are 4 dollars, but I got this one for only $2. They have a few different colours available, but I stuck with the regular white.
While I was checking out tools, I also grabbed a pack of eyelash curler replacement pads. My ELF curler is my go to, but I do need new pads for it, so I got a pack for 50 cents.
The last item I was hoping to try is the ELF Daily moisture stick. I see emilynoel aka Beauty Broadcast rave about this product all the time on her youtube channel. I figured the best time to try it was when I could get it for half off (normally 6 bucks, I got it for 3). Unfortunately for me, mine came broken - the little twist up mechanism on the product doesn`t work. However, I wrote an email to their customer service department and they have already shipped me a new one for free! :)
I`m going to see if I can still use the first one somehow. For now, I can use my finger to rub off some of the product and use it that way :)
I`m super happy that I was able to get the products I was looking to try, and I got them for a deal as well!
