I received this lip gloss in a beauty blog giveaway. I have been wanting to try more Evil Shades products, since I`ve heard so many good things about them. As such, I was really happy to try this product out! It is currently not available in their online shop, and may have been discontinued. The packaging has since been updated and they have a new, super-cute logo now, so if they brought back this lip gloss in a tube format, I would totally snatch it up!
As you can probably tell, this gloss is a raspberry shade, with what appears to be hot pink and gold sparkles in it. (Sorry for the used product shot, by the way - I just really wanted to show off the gloss in the pot!) It`s a lot sheerer when applied on the lips than it looks in the pot. It`s a really flattering shade on my skin tone, which is quite warm.
The formula of this gloss is really nice. It`s not thick, goopy, or sticky - it`s really smooth, and feels a lot like a lip balm. It does wear off more quickly than stickier lip balms, but that`s usually the case with moisturizing, non-sticky glosses. I don`t mind reapplying this too much, but I find that I do need to use a lip brush, as applying it with my fingers would just be too messy. This gloss does have a slight tendency to spread, but again, this is not something I mind. I love the look of it, and I think it would look great over a variety of pink, red, or fuchsia/purple lipstick shades.
All in all, I`m really happy with my little giveaway prize! I`ve been using it mostly as a balm, because it`s moisturizing, but I will soon be trying it on over lipsticks. :)
