While I was out shopping today, I decided to pick up some biscuits (or `cookies`). I grew up in Europe as a kid, so seeing things like this in stores in America always makes me smile! I picked two different kinds: a blueberry puff pastry and some good ol` jammy dodgers!
The blueberry biscuits are a lovely puff pastry (so they`re flaky!) with a glaze on top and blueberry in the middle. And health-wise, they`re surprisingly not as bad as you`d think - five of them are one serving. Yum! :)
Jammy Dodgers are an old favorite. They`re a British biscuit and, while I don`t think many Americans would willingly like these cookies, to me, they bring back memories of being a kid (isn`t it cool how smells and foods can do that?!!). I used to have a couple after school as a small snack back in the day, but now I normally have them with my tea. They sort of a dry shortbread cookie with chewy raspberry jam in the middle, which balances out the drier part of the cookie nicely.
I resisted the temptation to also pick up some European chocolate bars, lol. Didn`t want to get too carried away!! ;)
