I don`t know about you guys, but I find DIY and homemade gifts really cute. This website is such a neat way for artists and future designers to get their ideas and products out to the world. Basically http://etsy.com is a site where someone can post their products to sell by paying a small fee. By paying this small fee they get a profile, banner, etc. There are a ton of different catergories like jewelry, clothes, home decor, art supplys, baby toys, paintings, etc.
A lot of people may find this website sketchy but it`s legit. If you find a product you like you can purchase it from the maker and they decide shipping and handling costs since they are the ones who have to do it haha. But it`s really cool cause depending on some of the owners you can send them a pair of shorts and they will design them for you and mail them back. Each owner has their own rules and talents and I think it`s awesome that there`s a place where everyone can get together and display and sell their talents.
I have been considering making my own profile but idk if people would buy what I make. I`m learning how to make shorts and clothing. And the other day I just made my first pair of lace shorts and the hemline is scalloped. I really like detailing shorts and shirts (especially scalloping them!). I`ve also started making neckalaces with keys and designing them and what not.
Could you guys comment and let me know if you would consider buying something like that? and if so how much would you be willing to spend for a product like that?
Also comment if you love http://etsy.com like me
and if you`ve never checked it out, do it :D
