The need to buy ONE thing everytime I go to Target is getting out of hand! Especially with my wedding planning budget, but hey... a girls gotta do what a girls here to do, shop shop!
So this is the one that I chose today to fulfill my at least one purchase, Essie`s nail laquer vernis in the color Secret Story 8$.
It`s not my first Essie but this one has a different consistency... Which I am in favor.
Consistency wise, it is an evened out sheer, does that make sense? You know with cheaper brands like Sation, Sinful etc- their sheers look horrible when you double the layer, more lumpy and visible that it is has brush marked layers rather than a smooth and subtle distribution. With this color you have the option of one coat, which is a pretty sheer- my suggestion is for you to save your natural nails lover so that your white tips show, looks prettier that way when you apply a transparent polish in my opinion. If you have shorter nails, grow them out! haha
I have never liked the brush from Essie, maybe because I am so use to the professional rounded and fuller brushes. It does the job to say to most...
My application... I doubled, maybe even tripled my layers- i wanted a more darker pink, as you can see in the photo I just took from my phone.
Pricing... 8$ is not too bad considering there are higher end brands. If you do have a ghetto vietnamese pro salon outlet around you, you can get Essie for half off. Maybe not the latest colors, but still an option for you pro beauties.
I hope this helps! I literally typed as I was thinking out loud- no editing, no format... Let me know what you beauties think about this color, brand and what you may recommend for more sheers.
