AHHH, I love this polish! This stunning beauty is from Essie. It is called Easy Hampton Cottage. I bought this polish thinking it would be less than impressive but I liked the little pearl effect in the bottle so I thought I`d give it a shot anyway. I`m pleased to announce that it did not disappoint! I`m thrilled to have this one. East Hampton Cottage is described by Essie as a beachy sand pink with hints of sheer shimmer perfect for a french manicure. I don`t know if the coloring/formulation has changed since it was first released but this does not at all describe the color I am looking at. I think it must have changed because if you start looking at reviews the opinions are all over the place. Some people say theirs is sheer pink while others say white. Some people see pearl and others creme. Some experience streaking and sheer pigmentation even after 4 coats and others good in two coats. It is just all over the place! I will tell you what my thoughts are. I think this is an amazing polish that is good to go in 2 coats. It was a bit sheer and streaky on the first coat but when I applied the second, it was perfection. What you see in my pictures is two coats of East Hampton Cottage. MY bottle isn`t pink in the very least. My bottle is pearl finished white with subtle hints of champagne. Once it is on the nail it shows up more white. It reminds me of a traditional, classic wedding dress fabric. It looks like satin on the nails. I know a lot of polishes that have that pearly quality to them show every single brush stroke, but this one doesn`t seem too bad by a long stretch. In fact, most of the nails you don`t see the strokes at all. This gives my hands a classy, clean, fresh look. I think if you are someone who has wanted to try the solid white manicure trend that was made hot last year, try this polish. It isn`t stark white and doesn`t scream out white-out fingers. It is soft, delicate, and feminine. I`m really loving this polish.
