I`m going to start this particular post by saying the color in the pictures is extremely misleading. I even played with them a bit trying to get it to be accurate. This is a perfect example of a bright polish making my camera flip out and not capture properly. These images are giving a far more orange tinge to the polish than is seen in person. I can tell you about this polish, but ultimately, you should look at it in person. This is Camera from Essie`s Summer 2012 collection: Poppy Razzi. The other polishes in this collection are Lights, Action, and Bazooka. They are all bright, fun neon colors. Essie describes Camera as a brilliant coral pink neon. Some have said they are having a hard time finding these polishes. I believe their official release date is set at May 1st but some stores and supply houses have already put them out. I have already reviewed Action. Like Action, Camera is a neon that dries down to an almost matte finish. I prefer glossy polish, so I did add a top coat. When I put the top coat over it, it transforms it to a squishy, jelly finish. I much more prefer that. These are more on the sheer side. I am wearing two coats and you can still see my tips a bit. If this bothers you, you could layer more coats or apply an opaque white base first. If you choose to go the route of a white base it will take away visible nail lines but also intensify the top color. The application was very similar to Action. It wants to start to dry on you as you apply it. While the standard is to apply layers of thin polish, I`d say apply a SLIGHTLY thicker coat (not a honkin` glob, though) to keep it from drying up quite so fast on you. This will help prevent skipping and bald patches.
