I purchased this lip gloss last week for $1.49. For that price, I wasn`t expecting too much, but I hadn`t tried the Essence brand before and wanted to give it a shot. :)
The shade I purchased, Kiss Kiss Kiss, looks red in the tube but is more of a sheer, hot pink when applied to the lips. No complaints here, as I *love* hot pink lippies.
The applicator is sort of a modified doe-tip sponge applicator - it`s got a rounded, rather than a slanted tip. I actually like it a bit more than the standard lip gloss applicators you see from North American beauty brands (Essence is German).
I do find this lip gloss to be quite long-lasting...even eating doesn`t *totally* remove it. Oh, and it`s non-sticky, which is so important to me in a lip gloss! I`m really impressed, considering the price of the product. However, it does have a slight funny taste...I don`t mind it too much, but it`s the only real downside to this product.
I`d definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a cheap, yet effective lip gloss. It`s definitely worth the $1.49. :)
