End of Route 66: Santa Monica Pier

Last week, I went to California for vacation and to attend a kpop concert. On day 2 of my trip we decided to drive to Santa Monica Pier, which I didn`t know until I saw a huge sign saying that it was the end of Route 66. When I saw that, the movies cars popped up in my head. Gotta love Disney, I`ve learned a lot from those movies.

The drive was a pain because of traffic. Idk how you California luuuxers handle the traffic. We were in traffic for about an hour got hungry. We were near chinatown so we stopped to eat dim sum and the drove another 30 minutes or so before reaching Santa Monica Pier.

When we got there the weather was amazing a little too windy but compared to living in Louisiana I loved it! Parking wasn`t so bad, I think we paid $6 to park.

It is a great place to go with out spending so much money with a lot to do. If you`re hungry there are stands that sell churros and fresh fruits. If that doesn`t fill you there are two restaurants at the beginning and end of the pier. You could rent a bike and ride along the beach. There is a little arcade and you can have ski ball tournament or air hockey competition against your friends. There is also a small amusement park with a roller coaster and Ferris wheel. If you want to pick up a souvenir there are also a few shops that sell many cute little knick-knacks and t-shirts.

Have you ever walked along a pier? Have you ever been to Santa Monica?

Hope you enjoy. Don`t forget to comment, rate, follow, and friend.
