Hey Luuuxers! Elf is a really affordable brand, with most of their products costing either $1, $3, or the most expensive is $5. One of the products in Elf`s $1 essential line is the
Super Glossy Lip Shine. I`ve gotten a chance to try some over the past year or so, and I`ve accumulated a little collection of these along the way. So far, I have six different shades of these: in /viz/swatch-elfs-super-glossy-lip-shine-poinsettia-red, /viz/swatch-elfs-super-glossy-lip-shine-pink-kiss, /viz/swatch-elfs-super-glossy-lip-shine-malt-shake, /viz/swatch-elfs-super-glossy-lip-shine-pink-pop, /viz/swatch-elfs-super-glossy-lip-shine-juiced-berry, and /viz/swatch-elfs-super-glossy-lip-shine-honey-do. You can check out the swatches of these shades by clicking on the links!
Price: These are only $1 each, which is definitely one of the cheapest lip products I`ve ever encountered. For $1, you get a great deal of product also, 0.35oz of products! +
Availablity: You can find these at target, but I don`t know if you can find all 13 shades at target. I know they have certain shades available at target, like Pink Kiss, but you will have to order off of elf`s website if you want other shades that are not available on elf. +
Scent: These have a pleasant grape scent, not too strong like medicine. I was afraid these would remind me of grape medicine but I was pleasantly pleased that they didn`t. However, some of the shades don`t have the same scent as others. I think that`s one of the things I don`t like about these -they`re not all consistent.
Shade: There are 13 shades available on elf`s website currently. Chances are, elf might be coming out with new shades in the future since they`re adding new shades to a lot of their lines lately. +
Pigmentation: Pigmentations of these are mixed. Some of the shades are really pigmented while others are not pigmented at all. The shades that are pigmented are shades like Pink Kiss, Poinsettia Red, and Malt Shake, while the others are quite sheer and only appeared as a shiny gloss on my lips. +
Consistency: These are a bit sticky, sticky enough to get your hair stuck on your lips if it`s windy outside. +
Lasting Power: These last a few hours on my lips, due to the stickiness of the glosses.
Inconsistency: One thing I really dislike about elf in general is that not all their products are the same. For instance, if you look at the packaging, some of the labels are printed in a different direction than the others. Also, some of the scents are different from the rest. Even though it`s a minor problem, it still bothers me personally. Got comments, questions or suggestions? Leave them in the comment section below! *images are mine*
