Hey Luuuxers! I recently decided to expand my ELF collection and tried these
Luscious Liquid Lipsticks from their essential line. I have no idea why I`ve never tried these before, especially since I`ve been using elf products for the past few years already. I have four of these shades, in /viz/swatch-elfs-luscious-liquid-lipstick-ruby-slipper, /viz/swatch-elfs-luscious-liquid-lipstick-pink-lemonade, /viz/swatch-elfs-luscious-liquid-lipstick-strawberry, and /viz/swatch-elfs-luscious-liquid-lipstick-perfect-pink. My favorite shade out of the four is Perfect Pink, followed by Strawberry.
Pigmentation: I was quite surprised by how pigmented these were. They showed up on my lips pretty well, even the lightest shade that I have, Perfect Pink. +
Shade Selection: I think there is a nice selection of shades. There are 12 shades that you can get, ranging from light pink to darker mauvy to darker brown shades. +
Price: These are only $1! Nothing can really beat that price!
Consistency: I wasn`t really a huge fan of the consistency. These were a bit sticky, which was something that I wasn`t expecting at all. +
Lasting Power: They last a few hours on my lips if I don`t eat or drink or talk too much. I`m not sure how long they`ll last if I actually ate, drank and talked though. +
Scent: I was really surprised to find that these have a minty scent to them. For some reason I was hoping it was a bit more fruity or something. But the minty scent is not too overwhelming, it was just something that I wasn`t expecting at all.
Availability: I`m not sure if you can find this in target or not, but the only other place you can find these that I know of is on elf`s website, which is kind of a bummer. -
Packaging: The packaging is a twisted doe-foot applicator sort of thing. You twist the bottom and the product will come out from the felt tip attached to the top. Also, some of my applicators are not too good; instead of the whole doe-foot applicator dispensing the product, the product only comes out of like one or two holes rather than the whole tip.
