This type of post was actually requested a long time ago and Im just now getting around to it! I photographed a number of the ones I own, but the lighting outside started to go wonky because it gets dark so early, so I need to finish up my photographs probably on Wednesday. Anyway!
This is one of my Elf single eye shadows I have in my collection. I purchased this on the eyeslipsface website because the picture of it looked absolutely stunning. I love brownish shade shadows since they naturally compliment my skin tone and tend to go with any of my neutral eye looks primarily as my crease or definer shade.
Raspberry Truffle is a gorgeous dark raspberry shade with golden shimmer in it. Its a very pretty shade that can be worn neutrally, or can be applied heavier to make the color darker. I havent tried wearing this wet, but I would only see the shade becoming more pigmented. As with all my Elf shadows, I used a primer underneath them to make sure the color stays where I want it and it stays as pigmented as I want it to be. But please do note, the swatch shown is without a primer beneath the base of it. Thinking of it now, I should have shown a comparison between primer and no primer.
Overall, these shadows retail for $3 on the eyeslipsface website. You can find them at your local Dollar Tree for $1 while they are also at Kmart typically on sale for $1.80. If you order on the eyeslipsface website try to find a coupon code for 50% off studio and save yourself $1.50.
The packaging is sleek, much smaller version of the studio line blush packaging. Overall, I feel this is a perfect product and would make a great staple in any makeup collection as long as you agree with the shade.
