ELF Studio Blush Palettes - Review Swatches

For about a year now I have been wishing that ELF would make a blush palette, and this year they have answered my prayers with two new Studio Blush Palettes, available in Light and Dark, $6.00 each. The square shaped palettes are sleek black with a full size mirror inside - travel perfection. Each palette features four new shades (unnamed shades) of blushes, two being matte finish and the other two being subtle shimmer. After swatching the new blush palettes and comparing them to their Studio Blushes, I found no dupes, though I will have to compare them to their Essential and Pressed Mineral blushes soon just to cover my bases. One last note before I get into the swatches, each blush pan pops out of the palette, so I`m thinking either they designed this so we can buy both palettes and swamp out shades as we please OR there might be more blush pans produced to customize our palettes... either way, I like the idea!

These blushes are P-I-G-M-E-N-T-E-D! They are very similar in texture to the Pressed Mineral Blushes (which I`m currently reviewing, so stay tuned for that post coming soon) in the fact they are smooth, buttery and hold a lot of color. They are less `powdery` than the Studio Blush singles. They last about the same as all their blushes; when used with a primer, foundation, and setting spray I get a full days wear, minimal fading. Each palette has a mix of warm and cool tones, so practically any undertone can find at least two shades to fit their style. While these blushes are super pigmented, they are easy to wear sheer with some extra blending out, or build them up for a real bold look - this makes them more appealing to all skin tones.
