*my photo* I was suddenly craving french toast the other day and didn`t really want to make a super complicated recipe since I don`t have much in my kitchen or fridge anyways haha. So I started googling different french toast recipes that had a minimal amount of ingredients. Somewhere down the numerous search engine finds, I stumbled across an blogspot that had an eggs in a french toast basket recipe. The recipe for that french toast was VERY complicated so I just ignored it, used another recipe, but was really inspired to make an egg in a basket! I think there are other names for it, but that`s what I call it!
I prepared my french toast and cooked a tad bit of one side before flipping it over and cracking the egg inside. I probably did it wrong.. but whatever HAHA. Then I flipped it over to let the other side of the egg cook. It doesn`t look pretty - it actually looks burnt.. BUT IT WASN`T BURNT! And it tasted verrry yummy! It was my first time doing this and it`s actually a little difficult because you have to time the cook time of the french toast with the egg perfectly so you don`t overcook anything. Uh, pretty sure I overcooked the french toast. haha. Oh well! Trial and error!
