I love to cook, and bake whenever I am not press for time. The only thing about baking is that it takes more patience than cooking alone. As much as I love the aroma of freshly baked goods, I simply cannot stand having to wait for an hour to for the dough to rise or wait for the cake to be baked and cool down before slicing it. I love to dig in right immediately I am done cooking my food!
That is until I was presented with this hand-made lychee fruit made out of yellow mung beans and flour by my friend`s Vietnamese mom. I cannot believe my eyes when I saw these. These are not real lychee fruits! But ohhhhhh my goodness they look so real! I cannot imagine how many hours she must have spent making these and what delicate hands she has for creating something that pretty and dainty! It changed my whole perspective of cooking...and baking! I try to be more patient when it comes to making good food because it is definitely worth the extra waiting time =)
