I recently did what has come to be one of my favorite sets of nails in quite a while and it is so simple to do that even a beginner can do it!
Step 1: I used my Seche Vite base coat with 3 coats of Maybelline Color Show polish in Mystic Green. I thought that it would have more of that holographic blue/ purple tint to it, but it ended up being a metallic green which gave it more of a `raindrops on a leaf` look.
Step 2: I dipped the toothpick into my gel topcoat (I used Bio Seaweed gel`s topcoat as I like that there`s no tacky layer to take off) and placed several dots on one of my fingers. I `froze` them in the LED light for 10 seconds as I finished each finger and then put my whole hand in for 45 seconds. (I did it one finger at a time because the gel tends to settle pretty quickly, so this got them hardened before the dots could spread out)
And that`s all there is to it!
