Easy One Pot Chili!

It`s happened, the sweater weather is taking over and summer is but a figment of the past. One recipe perfect for the fall/winter chill is Chili. I had never made Chili before, so this was my first time. I have to say for it being my first Chili it turned out really good. In my family we don`t eat beans, so this is an easy bean-less chili.
Here`s what I used:
1lb of ground Hamburger
1 Red Pepper
1 Green Pepper
1/2 White Onion
2-4 Cups tomato sauce
1 can of whole peeled tomatoes
Cayenne Pepper
Chili Powder
Salt & Pepper

Here`s what I did:
Fully cook your hamburger in a pot. When your hamburger is fully cooked strain out any of the extra grease.
While your hamburger is cooking dice your peppers and onions. Now bell peppers aren`t to spicy they tend to be more sweet or even bitter, but if you`re using a hot pepper remember to remove the seeds. The seeds are the spiciest part of a pepper.
Now add your veggies into the beef. Let your veggies cook for a bit while your hamburger reheats, this will let the veggies flavor your ground beef.
It`s also important now to add your spices! Add just a little bit here. Letting the spices melt into the meat and veggies will really brighten them up!
Now comes the messy part! Open your cans of whole tomatoes. This is where you use your judgment and taste. We`re not big on tomatoes in my family so I just took 4 and cut them into rustic chunks and tossed them in the pot. I also added a few tablespoons of the tomato juice from the can.
Let the mix cook down for a few minutes and stew together. The next thing you want to do is pour in your tomato sauce. Add as much or as little as you want. If you like your Chili thick add less, if you want to thin it out to make more portions add more.
The most important part come now. Taste your chili, if it`s not spicy enough add more of your Chili powder. It`s important to add little bits at a time, especially if you don`t want it to be too spicy. It won`t take much to be too much.
The next step is to serve up and enjoy with your corn bread, or whatever you like to have with it. My dad likes his with macaroni!
