I am a sucker for cute packaging and limited edition stuff. So when I saw these Dunkin` Donut holiday coffees at Walmart, I HAD to get one.
There were three flavors, Mocha Mint, Pumpkin Spice, and Gingerbread Cookie. The other two packages were also extremely adorable. I probably stood there for ten minutes trying to decide which one I wanted to get. I would have liked to get all three, but they`re about eight dollars, so that`s a little too expensive.
Finally, I settled on the Mocha Mint. The packaging is SO cute. Look at that adorable little snowman. :) With his little peppermint buttons.
AND, mint is one of my favorite flavors ever. So I was pretty sure that this coffee was going to be amazing.
When I got home, I brewed some immediately. I smelled the coffee in the package, and it smelled delicious. Like minty, chocolaty goodness.
Then I poured myself a cup.
I was extremely disappointed. :(
It didn`t taste like mint or mocha at all. I mean, at ALL. It just tasted like regular coffee with a HINT of random flavoring. I was so sad. It wasn`t even one of those things where you can tell it`s mint flavored, but you just with the flavor was more pronounced. It had no taste whatsoever of mint.
So i`m pretty disappointed about that. I already have regular coffee at home, so that eight dollars wasn`t very well spent. But it is good coffee, so I`ll continue to drink it. I jus wish it tasted more like mint. >:(
So don`t get suckered in by the beckoning snowman. You`ll be disappointed. But I guess you would like it as just a good coffee with a bit of flavoring that you can`t identify. :)
Do you have a favorite seasonal flavored coffee?
