I was recently in NY/NJ for my cousin`s wedding. I had flown in a few day early so I could help with the wedding preparations.
After running around getting some items in order for the wedding, we all decided we needed a little boost since we were getting drained.
Since America Runs on Dunkin, we stopped by Dunkin Donut`s for some coffee.
Oddly enough, I don`t drink coffee. I also avoid processed sugars fairly strictly (though I do cheat with ice cream on occasion). So this drink right here was not at all a part of my normal diet, but on a hot and tiring day, I really needed something.
Dunkin has introduced some new Iced Coffees inspired by some Baskin Robbins ice cream flavours, including Cookies Dough and Butter Pecan. However, growing up, the favourite in our household was Jamocha Almond Fudge. In fact, my uncle used to own a Baskin Robbins where I used to work and I would always be asked to bring home some JAF. We`ve even brought home entire tubs before! Lol
So I figured if I was going to cheat, I might as well cheat with a favourite! I have to say, the coffee was pretty good, and did have a resemblance to a Jamocha Almond Fudge, but JAF tastes like coffee and chocolate anyways lol.
For someone who doesn`t eat sugar, I have to say it was really sweet. It totally led to a sugar high followed by a crash a few hours later so I did sort of regret having it. But in the moment, I was really in need of coffee and it tasted pretty good.
Next time, I will still to sugar-free Iced Coffee options when I am feeling that desperate! LOL
Have you tried any of the BR inspired iced coffees at Dunkin?
