Hello lovely Luuuxers!
Yes, another neutral look. I know I am not super bold when it comes to the eye makeup department! But I still thought I would share this tutorial because it is special in a different kind of way. This brightening daytime eye look uses only five products, all from the drugstore, and requires no brushes! How cool is that?
This look is perfect for someone who is just beginning at makeup, or who is traveling light, or who just doesn`t want to bother with using and washing brushes all the time! It is also quick to do, lasts all day without creasing, and is appropriate for work or school, so everyone could get a little something from this tutorial!
Let`s begin, shall we? :)
1. To prime my eyes, I am using a product that multi-tasks: the Neutrogena Crease-Proof Eyeshadow in Lasting Taupe. The packaging of this product is perfect makes the product come out with a rounded tip, instead of a sharp point like most eyeshadow sticks, and so it makes it really easy to run it across the lids and then also place it in the crease without having too harsh of a line. After I placed it on my lid and in my crease and outer corner, I blended the edges with my finger. This eyeshadow stick is not crazy pigmented, which is nice for when you`re using your fingers because it is a little more forgiving with blending. It just gives enough subtle definition to the crease while helping the lid color to stay on all day.
2. Next, I used a clean finger to apply the L`Oreal Infallible eyeshadow in Amber Rush all across the lid. I used a patting motion with my finger instead of swiping, because it deposits much more pigment that way! This eyeshadow is phenomenal--one of the best at the drugstore! The camera does not do it justice--the way it shimmers in real life is to die for.
3. I then did my `defining` steps. I lined my top lash line and bottom waterline with the L`Oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner in Brown, making the line thicker at the outside of the lid and thinner going inward. I then used my L`Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara on the top and bottom lashes for some lash definition and volume. This is one of my all time favorite drugstore mascaras for natural, separated lashes with volume!
4. Finally, I highlighted the inner corner with my Milani Shadow Eyez pencil in Sand Dunes. I`m pretty sure I use this in every tutorial, but I literally use it every day. It is one of the most beautiful inner corner highlighters I have ever used!! (Plus, it is so cheap!)
And that wraps it up! This look is so easy and quick. I like to go to looks like this when I am really pressed for time and I don`t want to spend so many minutes blending shadows and shuffling around my collection looking for products. I hope that this tutorial helps you, whether it`s because you`re on a budget or because you`re just looking for a change of pace.
Let me know if you ever do makeup looks without brushes! If so, tell me what your tips and tricks are! Otherwise, let me know in the comments if you will try something like this, or what your favorite multi-tasking drugstore products are!
Thanks for reading everyone! Enjoy! :)
