Dried Pork And Seaweed Bun

My favorite baked bun to get after the pineapple custard bun is the dried pork and seaweed bun. I first fell in love with this bun when they opened an asian market here called T&T. I was in the bun section one day and picking up a few and noticed a different looking bun, so decided to give it a try and pick it up. Several years later and this is still my favorite and there is dried pork on each end of the bun and a layer on the inside as well and then it is wrapped in seaweed. I have lately been more into savory types of snacks and foods so this was such a good thing to have on Saturday afternoon. Downside about this bun is that unlike many of the other asian buns you can keep it overnight in the refrigerator and warm it up or eat it cold in the morning and the texture will be relatively the same, but with this one it`s pretty bad if you do that and you won`t wan to eat it lol. It is definitely a bun you have to eat the same day you buy it.

Have you ever had or seen this type of bun at your asian market?
What is your favorite asian bun whether baked or steamed?

Picture is mine and you do not have permission to use it.
