Its hard to believe that a staggering 6 out of 10 girls stop doing what they love because of self-esteem issues. I can`t say I`m not surprised I`ve had low self-esteem all of my life. Being made fun of because of my weight and the thing`s I had or should I say lack there of and it stopped me from doing so much that I wanted to do with my life. For the fear of I would get picked on or bullied and looking back on it now I regret not doing the things I loved. That`s why I`m so glad Dove is actually doing something to hopefully change those statistics and give more girls the courage to face their fears and do what they`really most passionate about.

This past weekend Oct.5-7 was Dove`s third annual Self-Esteem Weekend. Kinda sucks I actually missed the rally but any time of the year is a great time to talk to a young girl in your life and let them know they are beautiful and they matter. Don`t listen to what everyone has to say about them or follow what society says is the way you should be no matter what be who you were born to be. And love being that person feel confident in your own skim and own it!.

If your interested in learning more or want to help out I have a few tools for you guys.
You can download the toolkit that was created by Dove & Jesse Weiser the Chief Global Self-Esteem Ambassador to help you figure out what questions to ask and be better prepared.
