My husband and I normally go out to eat once a week or so and this past week we tried a new place!
He wanted to try Pho at a Vietnamese restaurant in our local Asian Market (Super G Mart). I`ve never really had Vietnamese food before but I was up to trying anything new :)
I was worried that maybe it would disappoint him because I`d never heard anything about the place before so I looked them up on http://Urbanspoon.com and found out that it was family owned and they had a 100% satisfaction rating which immediately put me at ease so we headed out!
The girl who waited on us was very nice, had a great attitude and was very informative.
She even helped us pick out a dessert drink.
It was a toss up between Jack Fruit Smoothie and Sugarcane Tea, we went with the Sugarcane Tea after her recommendation.
I`ll write a review on that in my next post :)
On to the food!
Eddy (my hubby) picked Pho Dac Biet. It came with all the usual sides and he used everything!
I wanted to taste it to give you guys an idea of what it was like but he likes his food REALLY HOT and I doubt that after all the Sriracha and Chili Paste he added that it would be an accurate description of what it would normally taste like, haha.
I ended up drinking a whole cup of water after taking a bite.
Just look at the leftover broth on the second picture and the satisfied look on that Asian`s face!!
He said it was delicious and that we would definitely be going back!
I was really hungry so I decided to stick to something I knew I would like.
I ended up getting Beef Fried Rice and omg....I try fried rice almost everywhere I go and this is by far the best I`ve ever gotten!
It had everything you could ask for in fried rice!
The beef had a nice flavor.
It had green peas, corn, carrots, onion, and a few green beans. I`m not sure what seasoning they used but it perfectly complimented everything else in the dish.
It even came with a cup of shrimp sauce/white sauce/whatever, you know what I mean, lol.
At first I didn`t know how that combo would taste but it was AMAZING<3
Bottom line, If your ever in Greensboro NC and you want some good Pho or Fried Rice, check out Tu Quynh!
Nice people, great food, and yummy drinks!
Review of the Sugarcane Tea I mentioned above is soon to come!
