Remember to click the pictures for the best possible quality & clarity (: Hey Luuux Foodies! :D This is by far the most exciting food post I have to share with you yet! I`m a pretty big fan of Chef Gordon Ramsay, and if you are too, I`m sure you`ve heard of his TV show
Hell`s Kitchen! Well, while watching the HK episodes, I developed this huge desire to try so many different things, but Beef Wellington was always #1 on my list! Of course, since it`s a gourmet dish, it`s not commonly served at most restaurants, so I was sort of at a dead end. An unnie (Korean term for an older girl friend) I know is currently obsessed with baking, and she told me about this Youtube channel with simple and easy recipes! The channel is called http://www.youtube.com/user/LauraVitalesKitchen?feature=watch. I checked it out, and fell in love with it! The person cooking is a woman named Laura Vitale, and she cooks/bakes such a wide variety of dishes and desserts! I found her recipe for Beef Wellington and I was ecstatic! :D ______________________________________________________________________ Because all I did was follow Laura`s recipe, I won`t include details on how I made everything, but I will tell you what ingredients I used in particular :)
Ingredients I Used: Filet Mignon (it doesn`t taste as great with any other cut!) Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Onions Mushrooms Port Wine (Laura recommended sherry or white wine, but I decided to go with Port because I thought the description of it would go well with the meat!) Flour Egg Wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp of water) Salt & Pepper Parsley Flakes ______________________________________________________________________ That`s it for this post! The Wellington was absolutely DELICIOUS! My mouth is watering just looking at my pictures of it again! The filet was cooked perfectly, and the seasoning was just right! My boyfriend and I decided to eat it with some mixed vegetables and also drank a glass of the Port Wine with our meal :) I highly recommend you check out Laura Vitale`s channel if you like to be in the kitchen! The recipes are generally fairly simple and easy, but everything turns out amazing! ^^ I have included the link to the Beef Wellington Recipe video down below, as well as included the actual video in this post!
Tell Me: What do you think of this meal? Have you ever heard of or tried Beef Wellington? If so, what did you think? If not, would you like to give it a try? Let me know in your comments down below! :D
