Last night my mom and I decided to cook a traditional dish from Jalisco, Mexico. I specifically said the state because I know many people from other parts of the country who arent familiar with this dish or they cook it different. It is called <em> Carne en su jugo</em> its like a beef stew/soup. <em>Carne en su jugo</em> main ingredient are: of course Flank steak, bacon, pinto beans, and if you like it spicy chipotle sauce. You then have the option of topping it with onion, avocado lime, cilantro and radish. I personally like it with all the toppings and some extra chipotle sauce. I like it to be spicy! We usually cook this for family parties but since there hasnt been a party in a while we decided to make some for ourselves.
I am including a simplified recipe I found in the source link below. We usually cooks the beans and the recipe below uses canned beans.
