Since My valentines day plans got cancelled. My mom offered to bring chicken for all of us to have a family valentines dinner. I told her It was fine since I really doubted we were going to go anywhere the wasnt packed.
She went to Pollo Express located in the pilsen neighborhood in Chicago. Its a Mexican rotisserie/grill and Oh-em-gee! It was delish!!!!! Now this is finger licking good! Im serious!!! They cook whole adobado-seasoned chickens over a wood charcoal burning grill. The chicken is grilled to perfection every time. Very juicy.
My mom purchased the special which includes a good-portion size of Mexican fried rice, frijoles charros or fritos (refried beans). Also with two different salsas, red pickled onions and a pack of hot tortillas. They also throw in some roasted jalapeño peppers. If you like spicy like me I suggest you ask them for some. They are also well known for making guacamole from scratch (have to call in to order) they have grilled onions also. My mouth is watering just thinking about this place lol..
Since it was on Tuesday , they have a special that runs from Tuesday to Thursday. When you place a whole chicken order combo (Which is 8 pieces and 2 sides, tortillas and hot sauce). You get ½ a chicken FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My mom paid less than S20.00 to feed 5 people, I think thats an unbeatable deal!
Just one thing, since this place is so packed I recommend you call ahead and place your order!
