DOTD: Ten Ren Taiwanese Sausage

The other day, my friends and I decided to meet up and get some dinner. My friend suggested Ten Ren since they wanted asian snacks and food. Since I`ve been going to Ten Ren like crazy, I`ve accumulated enough stamps to get a free drink so more of a reason to go. There`s nothing better than a free drink for a poor college student.

Since we were all hungry, we ordered food along with our drinks. I decided to try the Taiwanese Sausage with rice. I really like the Taiwanese Sausage from Cha For Tea (which Ten Ren owns) so I hoped that they would taste the same. Fortunately they did! The meal came with a bowl of rice, a bowl of soup, some veggies, some tofu and corn, and garlic for the sausages. The rice was a bit mushy which I didn`t like so I barely touched it, but everything else was pretty good though. The sausage was sweet and savory and was very filling. Definitely not healthy, but it did fill me up.

My meal with the drink came out to be about $9. If I had to pay for my drink, it would have been like $12 which is a bit pricey. I need to find some Taiwanese Sausages so I can make them myself rather than pay $9 for a measly amount. Either way it was tasty and filled me up. So what did you have for dinner today? Have you ever had Taiwanese Sausages before?
