So this was my dinner of the day today -- a foot long turkey sandwich on wheat from Subway. I actually picked this up earlier while my boyfriend was sleeping and set it aside to eat when I was hungry. One thing about Subway that I love is the vegetables. Sometimes I wonder why I don`t just order a veggie sandwich because that`s truly the only reason I go there. But I will admit their turkey isn`t half bad, so why not add a little protein into the mix? I had this loaded with all the veggies they had (lettuce, spinach, cucumber, green peppers, red onion, tomatoes, and hot banana pepper rings), the only difference from my usual sandwich was this one is minus olives this time around. I typically order my sandwiches on wheat bread, toasted, dry and if I want anything I ask for mustard on the side. I`ve come to realize Subway employes don`t understand the meaning of "a tiny bit" or "very very light" when it comes to a condiment like oil, so I straight up pass on it now. That is unless I ask for it on the side, which with some employees puts a ruffle under their cap. Pfft.
When I was hungry, I added some yellow mustard on this and a little bit of crushed hot peppers. I only ate half of it and put the other half in the refrigerator. I offered the other half to my boyfriend if he were to feel adventurous since he`s been sick all day. I`m pretty sure soup is as adventurous as he`s willing to go today, so I`ll end up eating this tomorrow.
