Last month in December, I had a "once in a blue moon" opportunity to go on a Hawaiian vacation! It has always been my dream to visit the tropical Hawaiian islands and was fortunate to had a chance to do so.
The island I spent my whole vacation on was Oahu, Hawaii. On the island, I was taken aback by how breathtaking the views were when driving up and down the coastline. One pit stop we made while driving was at the Dole Plantation. Here, you`ll find that this is where pineapples are grown and manufactured. Within the vicinity, there are various things tourists and visitors can do. One thing that I did was the Pineapple Express (lol no, not the movie). It was a twenty minutes train ride that stretched out for 2 miles giving a tour of Hawaii`s agricultural history that produced more than just pineapples. I actually enjoyed this informational tour that gave out historical facts that I never learned of in primary or secondary education. The second thing I got to experience was walking around in their Plantation Garden tour, where you observe different Hawaiian sacred and native plants and species. To top it off, my aunt and I shared their pineapple ice cream flavor. It was the best ice cream flavor I ever tasted! It was so good that it was difficult for us to multi-task of walking and eating simultaneously...lol. Overall, it was an amazing fun-filled experience for one of the days I was in Hawaii.
Have you been to Hawaii before? If so what were the things you had a chance to do/see?
