DIY: Tissue Paper Puffs!

Today I was at AC Moore trying to figure out how I`m going to decorate my school`s gym for an upcoming event. I saw a kit to make these puffs by Martha Stewart, but they were $16 and you could only make 5! So I read the description on the package and picked up my own supplies.

To make these you`ll need:
-tissue paper, any color and size
-thin wire to make the hook
-string to hang the puff
-scissors to cut the edges of the paper.

First, lay at least 8 sheets of tissue paper out flat. Fold up the sheets together like an accordion. The skinnier the folds the better - your puff will look fuller!
When you`ve folded up the sheets completely, press down on the folds so everything is nice and sharp.
Cut a piece of wire long enough to wrap around the middle of the tissue paper, and wrap it.
Cut the very edges of the tissue paper any way you like, pointed, curved, etc.
Begin to pull the sheets apart, and fluff them as desired!

What kind of DIY projects do you like to do?

Photos are my own, my mom is making the puff.
