I saw this DIY project the other day on Whole Living and I thought it was too cool I just had to share it. I actually gave it a try this morning and the end result was SO cool so you guys should definitely give it a try since it`s super simple! All you need is an old cotton t-shirt, scissors, and a ruler. Follow these simple steps and be amazed when you get yourself a new necklace! :)
1. Lay the shirt down and cut off the hem.
2. Cut the body of the shirt into horizontal strips about 3/4 of an inch long.
3. Pull the loops open and stretch until the fabric starts to curl. Stack the loops on top of one another so that all the T-shirt side seams are in the same spot.
4. Once you have the thickness you want, wrap the seams with a scrap piece of fabric (about 6 inches long) from the same shirt. Tuck the end of the scrap under itself. And you`re done!
To me, the end result can be considered a necklace or a scarf but either way, you`re recycling old clothes you don`t wear for something new and cooler! Have fun!
