DIY Surprise Party

As I posted in my previous blog, we threw a last minute surprise party for my SIL. I decided to go bold and do streamers hanging from each wall, and meeting in the center. I had to decorate all by myself AND watch my 1 year old son at the same time. Oh my goodness, I was sweating bullets climbing up and down that ladder and having to watch my son. I wanted to do more streamers so it`d cover majority of the ceiling, but I think that was a little too daring. As you can probably see, towards the front of the room I added more space and less streamers because I was worn out. The only thing I suggest is, use super strong tape. A few streamers fell and I had re-tape them a few times. It was such a hassle. For the centerpiece of the room, I wanted to do three hanging pom poms, but tissue paper+one year old = no no. It was hard enough making one pom pom, and it was my first time. Therefore, I decided to only stick to one. It really doesn`t look that bad though, and same thing with the tape. Use strong tape because that tissue paper pom pom came off twice.

I didnt do an actual centerpiece for the table, we just set the cake and food there. I just picked up a regular pink tablecloth from dollar store. Actually I picked up most of these things from the dollar store.

All in all, I probably spent $5 on these decorations.
