DIY Saltspray

My hair doesn`t allow itself to be tamed and styled easily. It usually just hangs there besides my face, no bounce to it what so ever... boring.

A friend of mine recently introduced me to a product she had bought at the salon... a hair spray makes your hair more dense and full, giving it a bit of a beachy-look. It worked wonders for my hair and I quickly decided that I simply had to have this product as wel. However... at the salon, I nearly dropped dead when hearing the price! It was insane.

There had to be a better way. I checked the ingrediënts on the spray, and found out that the main ingrediënt is something that most of us have in our kitchen... Salt. That inspired me to try and make my own saltspray.

Here is how I did it:

You will need; An empty spray bottle, salt, vitamin E capsules and scented essential oils (optional)

What you do is you fill the spray bottle with water, but not all the way! Leave some room to add the other ingrediënts. Next (assuming your spray bottle is about the same size as a store bought hairspray bottle) you add three big spoons of salt. Next squeeze the oil from about 5 or 6 vitamin E capsules into the bottle. then finally add about 5 drops of your favorite scented essential oil. I used Jasmin.

Twist the cap on and shake before you use (every time!) For the best result you should apply it on wet hair and then blow dry.

Hope you like :)
